By-Laws of the Rotarians on Social Networks Fellowship
The by-laws of the Rotarians on Social Networks Fellowship (ROSNF)
are as follows:
1.
Purpose of the fellowship
The purpose of the fellowship is to promote Rotarian fellowship,
service, and world peace using all the tools available via social
networks.
2.
Qualifications for membership
To
be eligible for membership, one must be a Rotarian, Rotaractor, or the
spouse of a Rotarian.
3.
Officers
The officers of the Fellowship include:
• Chairman
• Chairman-Elect
• Vice Chairman
• Secretary
• Treasurer
The
Chairman will appoint a Board of Directors including the officers and
up to 10 additional members from at least 3 different continents.
4.
Election of officers
New officers will be elected in April, for
a one-year term, to take office on July 1st the following year.
Balloting will be conducted online. A majority vote of the members
voting online is required to be elected.
Notice of the election will be sent as an announcement (bulk private
message) to all members via the fellowship group.
5.
Dues
There is no fee for membership.
However, members may voluntarily contribute to projects and events as
required to cover costs.
6.
Communication
Members will primarily communicate and collaborate with each other a
group facility on the Fellowship's primary social network.
An electronic newsletter will be sent to all members at least
annually via this group facility.
To retain membership in the fellowship, members must agree to receive
key communications such as the newsletter and notice of elections by
remaining members of the members-only fellowship group.
7.
Annual Report
The new officers will send an annual report out
every June
to all members via group announcement, including goals and
plans for the coming year.
8.
Amendments
Any member may propose a change to these rules in writing. The Board
of Directors will review the proposed change, and submit a
recommendation to the membership within one month of the date of the
proposal.
A majority vote of the membership via online ballot is required to
change these rules
